Specific Job Description
Provides technical, operations, and training support to users of company's personal computers either by telephone or on-site relative to desktop hardware and software packages. Performs hardware diagnostics and coordinates repairs. Assists in planning and designing personal computer support systems. Installs and tests personal computers, printers, and other peripherals; configures operating system, applications software programs. Develops reports and databases. Technical support, mid level, for personal computers. Provide desktop support services on Intel-based computers, utilizing the Microsoft XP, Vista, Windows Server 2000, and Windows Server 2003 operating system. Install Intel-based PC hardware and peripherals. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware problems. Desktop services include hardware, software, installation, training, and access to products and services required to deliver functionality to the desktops (e.g., network, e-mail Internet, file and print, back office suite, support for traveling employees, etc.). Support LAN connectivity ensuring access to the Internet, e-mail and file/print services. Ensure network and local printing services are available to all users.
